Mayor Robertson and the Ely City Council are seeking an individual to serve on the Municipal Utilities Board.
Mayor Nathan Robertson and the Ely City Council are seeking an individual to serve on the Municipal Utilities Board, which acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council and oversees the operation of the utilities provided by the City. Qualifications: 1. No member of the present city council shall be named to serve during his or her term of office, nor within one year after he or she shall cease to be a member of the city council (See Code 2-2-3A); and 2. Members of the board shall be actual, bona fide residents and domiciliaries of the City of Ely for not less than six months before their appointment and shall continue to be actual bona fide residents and domiciliaries of the city of Ely during all of their respective terms of office (See Code 2-2-3B). This position is an appointed term through December 31, 2027. Individuals must submit a letter of interest to the City of Ely and be prepared to attend a City Council meeting to answer questions.
